HOW TO SUMMON OUR INTEREST: A MANUAL FOR MORTALS
Think your manuscript has what it takes? Prove it. To submit, you must send the following components in a single email to babelfishpress@gmail.com. Incomplete rituals will be ignored.
- THE HOOK: A one-paragraph logline. Grab us by the ganglia. What is the core, twisted concept of your book?
- THE BLUEPRINT: A one-page synopsis. Show us the whole terrifying tapestry, including the ending.
- THE RITUAL: The first three chapters OR the first 5,000 words of your manuscript (whichever is shorter). This is your chance to make us need to read more.
IMPORTANT INCANTATIONS (AKA “THE FINE PRINT”):
· File Format: A single .PDF or .DOCX attachment. Please, no links to cloud dungeons or Google scrolls.
· Our Specialty is the Weird: If your story fits comfortably on a mainstream shelf, we are not the right coven for you.
· Cosmic Time: Response times may vary. We do not operate on mortal deadlines.
· Simultaneous Submissions to other dark entities are acceptable, but you MUST inform us if your soul (or manuscript) gets snatched elsewhere.
